Opposition factions initiated forcing a hearing with the Prime Minister's participation by rounding up 40 signatures on the subject: Legislation to Eliminate Democracy.
"The Prime Minister wants to drag the State of Israel into legislation in which the ruler is immune to the law while trampling the court, building a coalition that's a city of refuge for criminal offenses, and trampling the values of democracy in favor of his personal interests," the factions said.
"The opposition will oblige Netanyahu to come to the Knesset plenum and answer whether a prime minister with three indictments is more important than Israeli democracy."
