In a post on Twitter, MK Motti Yogev (United Right) called for the passing of a law in commemoration of Rav Kook in response to Ofer Cassif's comments, writing:
"Had it not been for the Supreme Enlightenment, Ofer Cassif would not have been elected to the Knesset. The contempt for the greats of Israel started with the Supreme Court justices. Rabbi Kook is one of the greatest sages of Israel in recent generations, who loved people. We will not let this go over in silence. Just like Mk Rafi Peretz did, I intend to boycott Cassif until he is expelled from the Knesset. We will demand the passage of the law of commemoration of Rabbi Kook, which I submitted in the previous Knesset."
