The Likud responded to various reports in the media about the coalition agreements being formulated.
"As part of the coalition negotiations, various proposals are being raised by the Likud coalition partners, including the restoration of balance between the legislative and judicial branches.
"The sensational publications in the media also include proposals that were not discussed, and a biased and misleading interpretation intended to prevent any attempt to restore the balance between the elected legislative branch and the judiciary. The principle that will continue to guide the Likud is the maintenance of independent and strong courts, but that doesn't mean that the court is omnipotent."
