The Tel Aviv District Court sentenced Avi Matzliach, a securities trader, and former investment advisor to Bank Otsar Hahayal, to 21 months in prison, a fine of NIS 20,000, and compensation to customers of Bank Otsar Hahayal at NIS 63,000.
The defendant was convicted of trading fraudulent securities, theft by an authorized person, fraudulently obtaining benefits, and breach of trust in a corporation.
