New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered on Wednesday that the spire of New York City's One World Trade Center and the Kosciuszko Bridge, connecting the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, be lit in blue and white Wednesday evening in honor of Israel Independence Day.
Cuomo explained, "One World Trade Center's breathtaking spire calls to mind the resilience New York and Israel share. The Kosciuszko Bridge reflects the progress and boldness that characterize the joint New York and Israeli spirit."
