Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely has concluded a two-day visit to Hungary, which included meetings with senior government officials and representatives of the local Jewish community.
Speaking at the dedication ceremony of the Jerusalem Park in the center of Budapest, a gesture by Mayor István Tarlós to the State of Israel, Hotovely said, "The opening of the Hungarian Commerce Office in the capital of Israel was a very important step, and inauguration of the park symbolizes another important milestone in the relations between the two countries. Israel views the transfer of embassies to the capital of Israel as a necessary step in light of the historical truth and the 3,000-year connection of the Jewish people to Jerusalem."
