Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to approve the transfer of $30 million from Qatar to Hamas in Gaza, as part of the agreements that allowed the ceasefire, according to Israeli public television. Israel will also open Gaza crossings and expand fishing off the Gaza coast.
In exchange, Hamas is committed to curbing Islamic Jihad, which has been acting to foil attempts at calm, according all the security bodies. In addition, the fence demonstrations will be reduced and protesters will be further removed from the border in order to prevent violence. Hamas has also promised to stop the launching of arson and explosive balloons.
