The Israel Railways management sent a letter to the workers following the mishap in which a train hit gas tanks yesterday and wrote that "a great disaster has been avoided."
The train, which was mistakenly diverted to the track where maintenance work was done damaged gas tanks which began to leak. None of the passengers were injured and the driver of the train was lightly injured by gas inhalation.
