After a survey of the tracks in the area, and receipt of approval from the security forces, railroad traffic between Kiryat Gat and Be'er Sheva will be renewed in the next few minutes.
The Be'er Sheva Merkaz, Be'er Sheva North and Lehavim-Rahat stations have reopened for service. For now, the train service to and from Be'er Sheva is only being provided via the eastern line, which runs through Lod, Kiryat Gat and Lehavim-Rahat. The service on the Western Negev route between Ashkelon and Be'er Sheva is still suspended, under the guidance of the security forces, and the Sderot, Netivot and Ofakim stations are closed.
