Due to escalation in the south, Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon convened a special situation assessment, with the participation of municipal officials, the Home Front Command, the Israel Police, Magen David Adom and other security forces.
The Mayor emphasized that in light of the existing information and Army guidelines, the routine of life in the city will continue without change, including studies, while increasing alertness and readiness, sharpening procedures, and taking all necessary steps.
The Mayor of Jerusalem offered assistance to the southern cities and its residents, including hosting families in the city on Independence Day.
