Jewish Agency Chairman Yitzchak Herzog lit a memorial candle in the synagogue of the Yad Vashem website.
"In the presence of Holocaust survivors and their families, I lit a candle at a moving official ceremony at the Yad Vashem Synagogue in Jerusalem, opening the awe-inspiring week during which I will be among the leaders of the March of the Living in Auschwitz-Birkenau, together with a delegation of Jewish Agency employees and leaders." Herzog wrote on Twitter.
