Hundreds of Orthodox men and women have arrived for afternoon and evening prayers, as well as Torah lessons, during the intermediate days of Passover in the southern square of the Western Wall near the Robinson's Arch.
A partition has been erected in the area to separate men and women and the prayers are held according to other aspects of Orthodox observance. The prayers were initiated by the Joint Task Force for the Preservation of the Sanctity of the Western Wall under the slogan, "You don't divid the heart." The prayers are expected to continue throughout the intermediate days.
