Chairman Bezalel Smotrich of the National Union has rejected a suggestion by senior officials of the Jewish Home Party that Jewish Home conduct separate coalition negotiations with the Likud.
Smotrich told Arutz Sheva, "Our strength is in our unity, as a party whose language is balance, without which there is no coalition. A split is an irresponsible, unthinkable move, and my acquaintance and many conversations with [Jewish Home Chairman] Rabbi Rafi [Peretz] over the last few days have convinced me that he will not think of it."
