Some 160,000 people visited nature reserves and national parks throughout the country on Monday.
Among the most prominent parks were the Caesarea National Park with more than 7,000 visitors, Masada with some 4,500 visitors, and Beit Guvrin, Eshkol (Habesor) and Yarkon Tel Afek with more than 3,000 visitors each. Among the nature reserves were Ein Gedi, with more than 5,000 visitors, and the Banias, the Judean Hills stalagtite cave and the cliffs of Tzukim at the Dead Sea with about 3,000 visitors each.
