In the past week, the 55th Battalion of the Pillar of Fire Division conducted battalion training in the Jordan Valley area practicing fighting in a northern area. The exercise began with deployment of the IDF's artillery arsenal and continued with a scenario of fighting in the Lebanon region against the enemy.
Pillar of Fire Division Commander Col. Guy Marquizano told Arutz Sheva, "The drill showed the battalion is ready for any scenario and is prepared for any mission that may be imposed on it. Artillery forces constitute decisive fire in fighting for the security of the State of Israel.
"We shouldn't be complacent, we must always be as ready as possible. We strongly believe in the importance of such training, which strengthens the forces and maintains their fitness."
