World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder expressed deep sorrow over the attack in Sri Lanka.

"World Jewry, along with the entire enlightened population, condemns the abominable terror attacks that took place this morning in Sri Lanka. We show zero tolerance to those who use terrorism to advance their goals.

"This barbarous attack on peace-seeking worshipers, on one of the holiest days on the Christian calendar, serves as a painful reminder that the war on terror must be at the top of the international agenda and continue unabated. The Jews, who are constantly attacked by terrorists, know this pain very closely. We pray for the speedy recovery of the survivors and send our condolences to those who lost their loved ones in these difficult attacks."
