Egypt withdraws from efforts to establish an 'Arab NATO alliance'

The newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi reports that Egypt has withdrawn from American efforts to establish an "Arab NATO alliance."

The move is likely to undermine the Trump administration's attempt to curb Iran's influence. It was also reported that Egypt would not send representatives to an alliance conference, scheduled for next week in Riyadh.
