Blue and White Chairman Benny Gantz wrote to his fellow party members after the election results emerged: "Good morning friends. Yes, good morning. The reports tell an unfinished story.
"True, there are dark skies, but there are two things missing: There's no final word because there may be electoral movements and we may be able to initiate political moves of one kind or another. Also, they certainly don't block the sun of hope that we gave to the people and society in Israel.
"They, our voters, sought hope and we gave it to them, they wanted another way and we drew it, so friends, 'When your enemies fall, do not fear and let your heart not be soft.' Therefore we won't retreat from our public obligation to represent more than a million citizens who asked us for something else. An historic unprecedented achievement we've done, we have something to be proud of and so shall we be," Gantz wrote.
