Lieutenant Colonel Nir Yisraeli, head of the Israel Defense Forces' branch for locating missing people, says that a change in the regional reality has led to the breakthrough that enabled the return of the body of the soldier Zecharia Baumel to Israel.
Yisraeli told Kol Berama Radio, "Because the reality in the region has changed, the operation was made possible. We are still continuing our efforts to locate the bodies of the other two missing soldiers," from the battle of Sultan Yaqub in the Shalom Hagalil (Peace for the Galilee) operation.
