VP Pence: Germany needs to spend more on defense

At NATO’s 70th anniversary gathering, US Vice President Mike Pence criticized Germany for not spending enough money on defense:

“Germany must do more. And we cannot ensure the defense of the West if our allies grow dependent on Russia,” Pence says, calling the Nord Stream 2 gas project “simply unacceptable.”
