In a meeting in Nazareth, Chairwoman of the far-left Meretz Party Tamar Zandberg declared that:
"Today in Nazareth, Meretz has done a historic thing: it has declared a deep commitment to Jewish-Arab partnership, precisely when all other parties are running away from it. This is our answer to the law of nationality, incitement and racism. Meretz in the government is the only chance for Arab coalition members and for an Arab minister in the government! There is no revolution without Meretz."
