The Israel Police opened an investigation into several incidents of car theft in Gush Etzion.
As part of an intensive investigation that included various methods, police investigators succeeded in tracking down three suspects.
According to the investigation, the suspects would arrive with another car, blurring its identification marks with stickers and wrong plates to make it difficult to track the lead vehicle.
Two weeks ago, suspects from the village of Tarqumiya were arrested for the first time by police detectives for impersonation and possession of property suspected of being stolen.
Police report that during the course of their interrogation, much evidence was gathered linking them to five car theft incidents. Their remand was extended by a day, and the suspects were brought to the military court in Ofer where a prosecutor's statement was filed against them and their remand was extended for the purpose of filing an indictment.
