The police uncovered a countefeiting laboratory in Ramle Tuesday dmorning and arrested six people on suspicion of running a network that dealt with the manufacture and distribution of forged bills.
Three other suspects were detained for questioning. According to the suspicions, the suspects were involved in the production, transfer, distribution and introduction of counterfeit notes worth 100 shekels and NIS 200 to the Israeli economy. In searches of their homes, banknotes suspected of being forged in excess of NIS 100,000 were seized.
