The United States has halted delivery of equipment related to the F-35 stealth-fighter aircraft to Turkey, according to sources familiar with the situation who were cited on Monday by Reuters.
It marks the first concrete U.S. step to block delivery of the jet to the NATO ally in light of Ankara’s planned purchase of Russia's S-400 missile-defense system, which, the US has said, would compromise the security of F-35 aircraft.
