Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has told the Central Elections Committee that in his opinion the publication of an election promotion by the Shas Party should be prohibited, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio.
The promotion claims "Those who are enlisted in the Yosef Aleichem project and all the new supporters will receive a letter in a special Torah scroll to be placed at the Western Wall!" The Movement for Quality Government has petitioned the committee to ban the promotion, claiming electoral bribery.
