Head of National Security Council held talks in Egypt in February

Meir Ben Shabat, the head of the National Security Council, visited Egypt in February as part of the efforts to reach de-escalation understandings in Gaza, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.

The meetings held with senior Egyptian intelligence officials were part of the Egyptian-brokered negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
