Foreign Ministry Director-General Yuval Rotem inaugurated the Israeli Embassy in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, Israel's 11th embassy on the African continent, as part of Israel's policy of returning to Africa announced by Prime Minister Netanyahu three years ago.
"The incoming ambassador Ron Adam is a veteran diplomat with a broad load of knowledge and experience, an expert on UN issues and energy," the Foreign Ministry said. "Ambassador Adam will serve as the first Israeli ambassador to Rwanda."
