The police have arrested a 30-year-old Arab resident of Hevron who was driving a vehicle with stolen license plates and hit a policeman while trying to escape near the Barta'a Junction of Highway 65 in northern Israel.
The Arab is illegally outside the Palestinian Authority. The policeman was lightly injured in the leg and the police intend to bring the suspect tomorrow morning for a hearing in the Hadera Magistrate's Court, asking him to extend his detention.
