Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon agrees with Minister Naftali Bennett's request to convene the political-security cabinet to discuss Gaza's events over the weekend.

Speaking on the joint election program of I24NEWS and Yisrael Hayom, Kahlon said, "I am not naive. The other side is exploiting this. It knows that this is a sensitive election period and any statement from the cabinet can be interpreted politically, one way or another. But still, the incident is bigger than politics, and we need to convene a cabinet. I had a conversation with the prime minister last Friday and I believe that within 24-48 hours the cabinet will convene. The people look to the prime minister, but also to the members of the cabinet, and once, once again, we have to decide how to move on."
