The Israeli police received a number of complaints on suspicion of a defrauding operation yielding tens of thousands of shekels by a suspect resident of East Jerusalem.

Upon receiving the complaints an investigation was opened in which it was learned that the suspect had cheated civilians from all parts of the country. The police received 12 complaints against the suspect.

The investigation revealed that the suspect, who was a carpenter, had closed deals with dozens of clients and charged tens of thousands of shekels for the work. To some of the customers he did not supply goods and for others he did partial work.

The suspect, a resident of Beit Hanina, was arrested the first time a week ago and interrogated on suspicion of threats, extortion by threats, and fraud. During his interrogation, he linked himself to all the cases attributed to him.
