A 31-year-old man from Lod was interrogated on suspicion of fraudulently extracting tens of thousands of shekels from a mentally ill person. He was released under restrictive conditions.
According to the suspicions, he turned to the victim and told a story several times that his son had died and that he could not afford burial expenses. Thus he was allegedly fraudulently given tens of thousands of shekels and then disappeared.
