President Reuven Rivlin told the Israel Democracy Conference of Haaretz on Thursday morning, "I know that public trust in the media is at a low point, and I also know that more and more journalists see their role as fighters in the political arena."
Rivlin continued, "Nevertheless, it is important to remember that at this very moment, the survival of the traditional media is essential for democracy."
