Rosemary DiCarlo, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, said, Wednesday evening, that the UN's stance on the Golan Heights is well known.
Speaking during a Security Council debate called at the request of Syria on United States recognition of Israeli sovereignty on the Golan Heights, DiCarlo said, "We hope that the recent developments will not be used as an excuse by anyone to pursue actions that could undermine the relative stability of the situation on Golan and beyond.”
