Palestinian Arab sources were quoted by Channel 13 News as saying that Hamas is not interested in an escalation and informed Egypt that it it ready to stop the rocket fire towards Israel, but would not agree to a ceasefire at all costs.
Hamas also stressed that it is not prepared to commit to ending the demonstrations along the fence and the nighttime confrontations.
