Sources close to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Sunday evening that Netanyahu spoke this evening with Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and invited him to a meeting, together with the acting national security adviser, when he will update them with the most classified details behind Israel's giving Germany the okay to sell submarines to Egypt.

Responding to Mandelblit's statement that Netanyahu did not inform the attorney general of secret information for which the sale was approved, the sources said, "The attorney general is confirmin that he accepted the fact that the issue of Egyptian submarines is a sensitive security issue and nothing else. He also confirms the fact that Prime Minister Netanyahu suggested at the time that he update him with the more classified information, but the attorney general did not see it as necessary."
