In a post on Twitter, MK Yair Lapid attacked Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, writing:

"I heard Netanyahu yesterday talking about the excellent economic situation. What is the economic situation? Where did he meet these people that everything was excellent for them? Because Israeli citizens go to the supermarket and do not believe how quickly their salary is gone. Tel Aviv is the tenth most expensive city in the world. In the years that this government was in power, it rose from 28th to 10th place. This also affects other cities in Israel. From Metula to Eilat. The shopping basket at the supermarket is expensive. Prices of fruits and vegetables rose by only 7.4% last month. Education is expensive. Buying an apartment is one of the biggest challenges of a young couple. All this we need to fix. And fast."
