The Likud responded to comments by Gantz in an interview.
"Unfortunately, Benny Gantz and his supporters in the media continue to spread a false plot against Prime Minister Netanyahu. The submarine acquisitions were made for the sake of Israeli security, and Prime Minister Netanyahu did not make a single shekel from the purchase. All actions related to the Prime Minister's case have been duly reported to the appropriate authorities, as have all his holdings, "they said.
"All the materials, including the subject of the Egyptian submarines, were examined by the Attorney General, who determined that Netanyahu is not suspected of anything. Benny Gantz's behavior in regards to the telephone affair attests to his lack of judgment, similar to his support of the nuclear agreement with Iran and his participation in an Israeli-Palestinian memorial event for the victims of "Operation Protective Edge" including 1,000 Hamas terrorists. A state whose enemy number one is Israel - Iran - holds sensitive information he refuses to reveal to his political partners and Israeli citizens. He will not be able to withstand the Iranian threat, "the Likud statement added.
