A 54,000-shekel compensation claim was filed recently by attorney Haim Bleicher of the Honenu legal-aid organization against an Arab resident of eastern Jerusalem who attacked a Jew seven years ago in the City of David, south of Jerusalem's Old City.
The attacker confessed as part of a plea bargain that did not include compensation, and now the defendant is asking the court for it.
