The military court in Jaffa has approved plea bargains with the two final soldiers from the haredi-religious Netzach Yehuda Battalion who were accused of abusing Palestinian Authority detainees who were arrested following the December attacks on Ofra and Giv'at Assaf.

One soldier was sentenced to five and a half months (162 days) in prison, was given probation and was demoted to the rank of corporal. The second fighter was sentenced to two months' imprisonment (60 days), was demoted to the rank of Private and sentenced to probation. The number of days of imprisonment begins from the day of arrest, so that the second combatant is expected to be released today.
