An exercise simulating an earthquake and tidal waves will be held at beaches and educational institutions throughout the country on Tuesday morning between 10:00 am and noon.
The Israel Police will practice managing an incident and directing the population and traffic. The Home Front Command will practice operating new tsunami sirens and the local authorities will lead the treatment of the populations tfhat are evacuated to safe areas of assembly. The Israel Defense Forces said the exercise is intended to raise awareness among schoolchildren and the population on this issue, as well as to promote the operational readiness of all emergency and rescue organizations in the country.
