Retired general Tal Russo has been authorized to run as a Labor Party candidate for Knesset.
His candidacy had been questioned because of duty which ended on a date that did not allow the mandatory cooling-off period between the end of his military service and the start of his political career. Given that the duty was determined to be reserve duty, the cooling-off period from the end of his active duty was long enough for him to qualify to run.
