The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Population and Immigration Authority, signed an agreement with the Kingdom of Jordan increasing the daily quota of Jordanian workers working in Eilat in the hotel sector by 500 additional workers. This brings the number of Jordanian workers to 2,000.
Deputy Director General of the Middle East and Peace Process at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Haim Regev and Ambassador of Israel in Amman, Amir Weissbrod, signed the protocol, which increased the initial quota of workers set in 2014.
"The Jordanian Hotel Workers' Project is a project that combines economic and social cooperation, and is one of the fruits of peace that benefits the peoples on both sides of the border," the Foreign Ministry said.
