Member of Knesset Ayman Odeh of the predominantly Arab Hadash-Taal list in the Knesset elections told Israeli public radio on Thursday that there was no reason to disqualify Jewish candidate Ofer Kassif from the list, saying, "A person who believes in peace and equality was disqualified."

Regarding the rejection of the Raam-Balad Arab list he said, "We will do everything for them to pass the court. We will stand by them. They will pass the threshold. What happened yesterday will help them. I hope they get 6-7 seats. These are people who advocate peace and equality."
