Rabbi Yisrael Steig, director of Slonim Talmud Torah in Kiryat Gat, has died of an early heart attack at the age of 50, according to the B'hadrei Haredim website.
Rabbi Steig is survived by his wife and four children. The funeral procession will leave this morning at 9:30 from the Beit Midrash of Slonim in Moshav Hazon Yehezkel and at continue at 12:30 at the Shamgar Funeral Center in Jerusalem.
