Otzmah Yehudit rabbis appealed to party leadership and asked its leaders to accept the proposal of the Jewish Home-National Union and compromise on places five and eight.
According to the rabbis, including Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, and Rabbi Yehudah Kroizer, "despite the fact that the proposal by the members of the Jewish Home and National Union was unfair, since the fate of the Land of Israel hangs in the balance it should be accepted."
