Chairman Moshe Yaalon of the Telem Party, who is running with Benny Gantz's Israel Resilience Party, explained his remarks on Thursday morning on Israel Defense Forces Radio, which implied that he supports a political settlement that would include the uprooting of Jews and Arabs.
The former defense minister said, "The headline was taken out of context. I want to reach an agreement without the removal of one Arab or one Jew, I do not see any agreement on the horizon, so long as there is no leadership on the other side that recognizes our right to live here in peace and security, the issue is irrelevant and there is no point to argue among us about an egg that has not been laid."
