Three deputy mayors of Jerusalem attacked the physicians' strike at Hadassah Hospital on Tuesday and called on doctors to return to the negotiating table.
Deputy Mayor Yossi Deitch said, "There are other ways to hold discussions, and a strike is not supposed to be one of them." Deputy Mayor Yisrael Kellerman cited "times of crisis in the health system, in a time of heavy hospital congestion." Deputy Mayor Avraham Bezalel said, "The public service needs first-class professionals, who could make a lot of money outside and chose the public service." He cited Director General Ze'ev Rotstein's efforts in rehabilitating the hospital financially and promoting it.
