The Minister of Transport and Intelligence, Yisrael Katz, referred to Arkia's announcement about the start of its flights to India, and said that the open skies agreement had a broad impact on the development of routes to Israel, both from Europe and from the east.
He said that opening Arkia's line to India broadens competition, with Arkia joining other airlines to the East such as Cathay Pacific, Air India and more.
