Minister of Strategic Affairs Gilad Erdan has welcomed the decision in the US Senate to move forward with a vote on a bill by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) that reaffirms the right of US states to enact laws against the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel.
Erdan said, "The law that is expected to be approved soon in the Senate is of great importance in the struggle against the anti-Semitic BDS organizations. The fact that the first legislation approved by the new Senate is taking steps against those who do not want a Jewish state here is a testament to the strong alliance between Israel and the US and the understanding of our ally about boycott organizations."
