Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion has called vandalism at the Siach Yisrael synagogue in the Kiryat Yovel neighborhood, "a serious incident reminiscent of dark periods of the Jewish people. Such crimes cannot happen today."
Lion added, "I have just spoken to the Jerusalem District police commander and I am certain that the Israel Police will soon get their hands on the criminals."
